ABOUT
Jarrod Lacy is a highly skilled, RIAA Certified Diamond and Grammy-nominated audio engineer and music producer based in Houston, Texas. His philosophy, “Sound Is Everything,” reflects his passion for combining cutting-edge technology with his formal training as a musician and vocalist to bring artists’ ideas to life.
With over 20 years of experience in audio engineering and production, Lacy is proficient across all Pro Tools systems and SSL Duality, AWS, E, G, and J series consoles. In 2015, he earned a Grammy nomination for his engineering and mastering work on Fetty Wap’s breakthrough single “Trap Queen” (RIAA Certified Diamond). In May 2020, he mixed and mastered Erica Banks’ viral hit “Buss It,” which quickly climbed the charts.
Lacy’s engineering credits also include mastering, mixing, and producing for Fetty Wap’s self-titled Billboard 200 chart-topping debut album; “Let It Bang” from the deluxe edition; “Like A Star” featuring Nicki Minaj; Tee Grizzley’s “My Moment”; Famous Dex ft. A$AP Rocky “Pick It Up”; Kirko Bangz ft. Fetty Wap “Worry Bout It”; T-Wayne’s “Nasty Freestyle”; Baby Bash ft. J. Lacy “Buttakup”; Slim Thug ft. Yelawolf “I Run”; and numerous projects with artists including Chedda Da Connect, Pitbull, Gucci Mane, Quavo, Kevin Gates, Paul Wall, Bun B, J. Cole, The Clipse, Yo Gotti, and Lil Boosie.
Most recently, Lacy engineered the Dolby Atmos mastering for YFN Lucci’s critically acclaimed album “Already Legend,” further solidifying his reputation as one of the most versatile and forward-thinking engineers in the modern music industry.
